Tools & Process

  • Technique:The design began with a bold black flame-like shape as the base. Using the Pen Tool, anchor points were adjusted to create smooth curves and balanced proportions. The name “Emilee” was added in white,integrated seamlessly into the shape for a cohesive look.
  • Finishing:The Shape Builder Tool was used to merge elements into a single unified form, ensuring clean edges and scalability for digital and print use.

Shirt Design Proposal

This Illustrator project presents a proposal on a vintage-inspired shirt design for the American Sign Museum, drawing inspiration from classic gas station signage.

Tools & Process

  • Technique: The design was constructed using the Pen Tool for the arrow and geometric tools for the base shapes. Shape Builder and Punch tools were applied to refine the composition.
  • Color & Typography: Pantone 15-0955 TCX and Pantone 19-1531 TCX were chosen to evoke an aged, nostalgic feel. The typeface Cheddar Gothic Sans reinforces the retro aesthetic, with selective punching for layered text effects.
  • Concept: The piece combines historical references with modern vector precision, creating a bold, memorable design suitable for apparel and branding.

Business Card

This design project explores modern business card aesthetics using Adobe Illustrator and Pantone color theory.

Tools & Process

  • Front Design: A traced vector image was stylized with Pantone colors 6134 U and 4033 U. The image was clipped into a rectangular shape using a clipping mask and duplicated five times to create a bold, repetitive layout on the left side.
  • Back Design:The reverse side features a clean, minimalist approach with five solid rectangles in Pantone Dark Blue U, ensuring strong visual contrast.
  • Focus: This piece demonstrates proficiency in layout design and Illustrator techniques such as clipping masks and duplication for pattern consistency.
